World Usability Day

I wanted to share this update from the Usability team where I work, at the University of Minnesota. World Usability Day is November 13, 2014. As in past years, the University of Minnesota is sponsoring an event to celebrate. This year the programming is centered around the theme of “Engagement” and will include panels such as:
  • “Engagement: What Does it Mean to Engage? What are we Working on?”
  • “Let’s Face It, We’re Not 16 Anymore: How Teenagers Read (and Misread) Higher Ed Home Pages” - Red Stapler winner for Best in Track at HighEdWeb 2014
  • “Lessons Learned about Engagement: Failures and Successes”
  • “Methods, Techniques, and Tools to Measure Engagement”

Sponsors
World Usability Day is sponsored by University of Minnesota’s IT@UMN User Experience Team, Libraries, and CLA Department of Writing Studies have partnered with The Nerdery, Macalester College, Metropolitan State University, and Thomson Reuters.
